GARRISON KEILLOR TALKS WITH ACTOR/AUTHOR JOHN
LITHGOW AND AUTHOR/HISTORIAN LARRY MILLETT

Hear what they have to say on Friday, October 21 (Lithgow) and
Monday, November 7 (Millett) at the Fitzgerald Theater.

(ST. PAUL, MINN.) — Don't miss two noteworthy author events at the historic Fitzgerald Theater this fall: John Lithgow in Conversation with Garrison Keillor and Larry Millett in Conversation with Garrison Keillor.

On Friday, October 21, at 8 p.m., Keillor welcomes John Lithgow, star of stage (Requiem for a Heavyweight, M. Butterfly), film (Terms of Endearment, The Rise of the Planet of the Apes), and television (3rd Rock from the Sun, How I Met Your Mother). He is also the author of a revealing new memoir: Drama: An Actor's Education (HarperCollins).

On Monday, November 7, at 7:30 p.m., he chats with Twin Cities journalist, historian, and author Larry Millett, whose most recent book, Once There Were Castles: Lost Mansions and Estates of the Twin Cities (University of Minnesota Press), profiles 90 houses that once stood in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area — grand estates that are now lost to history.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, September 15, at noon, available through Ticketmaster, at Common Good Books, or in person at the Fitzgerald Box Office. Individual: $20. Two-event offer (one ticket to each event): $30. Minnesota Public Radio member discount applies.

With purchase of each $20 ticket, you will receive $10.00 off the price of the featured book — Lithgow's Drama or Millett's Once There Were Castles. (Purchase the book that night at the Fitz or later at Common Good Books in St. Paul.)

Garrison Keillor is the recipient of Grammy, ACE, and George Foster Peabody awards, and he has been inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters. His books include Lake Wobegon Days, The Book of Guys, Lake Wobegon Summer 1956, 77 Love Sonnets, Pilgrims: A Wobegon Romance, and Good Poems: American Places, a third volume of poetry selected by Keillor.
