AUTHOR LARRY MILLETT IN CONVERSATION WITH GARRISON KEILLOR, MONDAY, NOV. 7, AT THE FITZGERALD THEATER
This architecture historian's new book brings "ghost mansions" back to life.
(ST. PAUL, MINN.) On Monday, November 7, 7:30 p.m., Garrison Keillor welcomes journalist, historian and author Larry Millett to the stage of the Fitzgerald Theater for an evening of conversation.
Millett's most recent book, Once There Were Castles: Lost Mansions and Estates of the Twin Cities (University of Minnesota Press), profiles 90 luxurious homes that once stood in Twin Cities area — from Summit Avenue and Dayton's Bluff to Lowry Hill and the shores of Lake Minnetonka — grand estates that are now lost to history.
He has also written Lost Twin Cities, Twin Cities Then and Now, and AIA Guide to the Twin Cities, as well as six mystery novels featuring Sherlock Holmes.
Individual Tickets are on sale now for $10.00 — Students $5.00 and with the purchase of a $20 ticket, you will receive $10.00 off the price of Larry Millett's book Once There Were Castles. (Purchase the book that night at the Fitz or stop by Common Good Books in St. Paul.)
