American Public Media Group Announces Record Audience Numbers

American Public Media Group announced record listenership during Fall 2016, based on data from Nielsen Audio. This was the second consecutive record-breaking survey period for weekly audience.American Public Media’s national programs reached a new record-high 20.6 million weekly listeners, a 10 percent increase over the previous year. Coverage of the 2016 election drove much of the increase, as news programs, such as the Marketplace portfolio, which saw an eight percent increase in weekly listeners up to more than 14 million over the previous survey period.
