ACTOR/AUTHOR JOHN LITHGOW IN CONVERSATION WITH GARRISON KEILLOR, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21, AT THE FITZGERALD THEATER

Lithgow's revealing new memoir chronicles his long road to stage and screen.

(ST. PAUL, MINN.) By anyone's measure, John Lithgow has carved out a stellar acting career — from television (3rd Rock, How I Met Your Mother) to film (Terms of Endearment, The Rise of the Planet of the Apes) to Broadway (Requiem for a Heavyweight, M. Butterfly) and more.

In addition to his eight acclaimed children's books, Lithgow has a brand-new memoir: Drama: An Actor's Education (HarperCollins). "My first stab at a book that weighs more than three ounces," he quips.

On Friday, October 21, at 8 p.m., he takes the stage of the historic Fitzgerald Theater for the fall kick-off and 2nd season of "Conversations" with radio host and best-selling author Garrison Keillor.

Tickets are now on sale and there's a deal for Everyone!

Individual tickets are $10, or with the purchase of a $20 ticket, you will receive $10.00 off the price of John Lithgow's book Drama. (Purchase the book that night at the Fitz or at Common Good Books in St. Paul.), and there is also a special $5 Student rate.

After the event, stick around to get your book signed — the only Twin Cities autographing opportunity currently on Mr. Lithgow's schedule.

Garrison Keillor is the recipient of Grammy, ACE, and George Foster Peabody awards, and he has been inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters. His books include Lake Wobegon Days, The Book of Guys, Lake Wobegon Summer 1956, 77 Love Sonnets, Pilgrims: A Wobegon Romance, and Good Poems: American Places, a third volume of poetry selected by Keillor.
